On December 12, 2012, ITPalooza South Florida, a tech community event, was hosted at Nova Southeastern University with more than 1000 guests in attendance. Alongside the FIU School of Computing and Information Sciences, the Discovery Lab presented robotics projects to the public with live demo- nstrations. Student projects included the TeleBot, SpiderBot, Intelligence System for Home Automation, and Air Aquarium.

When walking through the crowds in the halls or visiting other company tables set up throughout the building on different floors, there was talk of our robot demonstrations. In a mainly IT and career opportunities event, Discovery Lab's robots were a unique sight. The Dean at Nova Southeastern University had heard about our projects through word of mouth on a different floor and was very interested in our work. All in all, Discovery Lab's demos ran smoothly and our presentations were well-met with the public's curiosity and interest.

Special thanks to the students who helped prepare for the event, transport the robots, posters, and equipment 40 miles, and present for Discovery Lab during their Winter Break.
