He was the leader of the ISHA project in the Discovery Lab, where he performs research in topics such as Wireless Sensor Networks, Home Automation and Human-Computer Interactions.
He was an International Student Ambassador for the Office of Admissions and served as vice-president and secretary for the International Student Club.

Vasanth Iyer (PhD)
I received my Pre-PhD from College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad, India in 2005 and completed my PhD thesis ("Computational Aspects of Wireless Sensor Networks and Protocols") at International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad, India in July 2009. While and after my PhD, I spent one and half years at Catalytic Software (embedded phones development), one summer at Institute of Infocomm Research (I2R), Singapore and since 2009 have been at Louisiana State University, department of Computer Science. After completing my course work at IIIT I've joined as a fulltime Ph.D student at Florida International University during summer of 2012
was the Database manager and worked on developing the interface between the Command Center, the officer, the robot, and the monitoring station for the Telebot Project. She worked also on a highly secure communication system between the entities.
She holds an Associates degree in Computer Science from Miami Dade College and is going through her Senior year at FIU for a bachelors degree also in Computer Science. Her outstanding school years placed her on the FIU Dean's List. She is looking forward to grow as a Computer Scientist and represent proudly FIU worldwide.
I'm currently a software engineer at Kaseya. I have over 7 years of experience in the field and have loved every minute of it. My personal project as part of the Discovery lab a Bioloid remotely controlled via infra-red or a PC serial connection. The user would use the control software developed by me in VB.NET that received video input from an IP Camera mounted on the Bioloids Head. The software also allowed the user to control the movement of the Bioloid.
